Welcome to the official website of Side Effects! For those of you who haven't had a chance to meet me in game, I'm Jon Howard (Lellen) and I'm the GM. I have goals in mind for this guild-- most long term-- and I truly hope you join me for the ride.
To start, I'm obviously not a web designer... I mean... hell, this is a .blogspot address. I am, however, a high school English teacher who plays a little more WoW in the evening than I probably should.
And if you haven't noticed... I love to write.
It's for that reason this website is in the form of a blog. I hope this allows everyone to see the achievements of other members, the upcoming events which has been planned, and the other ridiculous garbage I'll be writing on here. Simply put, we need to be on the same page; this will allow us to do that.
SO, let's start with a few notes:
- All rankings have been set to "recruit" with the exception of High Council members. This will not effect current privileges within the guild other than a few withdraw limits on the first page of the guild bank. The new ranking system is to allow growth within the guild-- I want members to have something to shoot for. Also, I'll be watching for people I notice taking part in the guild chat, guild achievements, and the forums.... speaking of the forums...
- Head over to the forums NOW and start talking. Begin by introducing yourself. We need to develop a social circle within the guild-- it's a much funner game to play after you get to know your guild mates.
- We haven't had the numbers to start our official raid group, yet. Level and gear people!
- If you have anything you would like to suggest, please run it by me in game or post it in the forums.
